2010 Conference

In 2007 we held the first 1 Inch to 100 Yards Warrior Conference, an experiment devised through the mutual ideas of the staff at Khyber Interactive Associates, LLC (Khyber) and the Direct Action Medical Network (DAMN). The first conference was held in Laughlin Nevada.

At that very first event we were host to 21 vendors, 35 world class trainers and 225 attendees. The attendees came from all across the United States, from agencies in Florida, Texas, New Hampshire, New York, Nevada, California and Arizona. Some attendees came from as far as Sweden and South Africa.

August 10 - 13

  • Attendees will be able to choose from 2, 4, and 8 hour training tracks, covering a wide array of topics, to include: tactical weapons, edged weapons, impact weapons, unarmed self defense, concealed carry tactics, active shooter response, breaching, linear assault, less lethal, tactical medicine and physical fitness.
  • Attendees will be able to attend live fire range training sessions held on a large structured host range complex within minutes of the convention site.
  • Our top notch vendor show will run for 3 full days, bringing together up to200 vendors to showcase the latest in technology and equipment.
  • Onsite registration and set up will begin on August 09, 2010, with the show opening and general session kicking off the morning of August 10, 2010. The first 100 attendees to arrive and pick up their conference materials will receive 4 additional tickets to the annual gear raffle (last year we raffled off a little over $42,000 in trips, guns and gear!)
  • Networking mixer on the evening of August 10 and our Annual Banquet the evening of August 12.

Travel

Flights

The Grand Sierra Resort is 1.5 miles from the Reno International Airport. The Airport has direct flights from many hubs in the United States daily, to include multiple daily commuter flights from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle and Salt Lake City.

The Airport also gets daily connections from international flights from Europe and Asia through Chicago, Washington Dulles and Denver.

Ground Transportation

The option is yours, the Grand Sierra offers a shuttle to and from the airport, plus the minimal distance from the airport to the Grand Sierra makes for a very inexpensive cab ride.

However, if you are wanting to take part in the live fire range portion of the conference you will likely need a rental car. Rental vehicles are available at the airport from all the major rental car companies and both valet and self parking at the Grand Sierra are complimentary.

Lodging

Because everything will be happening at the Grand Sierra and our event schedule will include some late evening and early morning functions, it’s advisable to make your lodging reservations at the conference host hotel, rather than across town and another property.

Just as in years past, we have secured very special room rates at the Grand Sierra for our conference. This year we have actually reserved several blocks of rooms for our conference attendees only, to include not only standard rooms, but also luxury Summit and Grand Sierra Suites.

The room rates and reservation procedures will be posted when we open up the registration for the conference.

Please keep in mind that the room reservation discounts will have a cutoff date, you must get your lodging reservations made no later than July 14, 2010 in order to get the highly discounted rates for this event.
